Tranquility at COMO Castello del Nero | A Hidden Gem in Tuscany

BY CHRISTINA GREVE

Nestled in the heart of Tuscany's Chianti region, COMO Castello del Nero is the epitome of luxury and serenity. This five-star retreat, surrounded by the rolling hills and timeless beauty of the Tuscan countryside, is the perfect escape from the busyness of everyday life.

I chose this secluded countryside hotel for exactly that reason—its peaceful location promised a haven of calm, with the ideal surroundings for hiking, practicing yoga, or simply enjoying a good book by the pool.

During my four-day stay, I found little reason to leave the property. COMO Castello del Nero offered everything I needed for a truly slow holiday. From the soothing ambiance to the luxurious amenities, it became my personal oasis.

A Visit To Beautiful Provence | Hotel Baumanière in Les Baux-de-Provence

BY CHRISTINA GREVE

Hotel Baumanière is considered one of the best hotels in France, offering a mix of luxury, charm, and history. It stands out due to its exceptional gardens, luxurious spa, and world-class dining, including the Michelin 3-star restaurant L’Oustau de Baumanière, which has helped solidify its reputation among top-tier hotels.

Nestled in the heart of Provence, the hotel feels like a hidden sanctuary, far away from the rush of modern life, perfect for anyone looking to slow down and recharge. It was like staying in a home away from home. I loved how seamlessly the interior blends casual luxury with Provence’s rustic charm. The rooms felt intimate and cozy, yet they exuded elegance.

On a recent road trip through the picturesque landscapes of Denmark, my husband and I made a memorable stop at the charming Falsled Relais & Châteaux. Nestled deep in the heart of the Danish countryside on the southern coast of Funen, Falsled Inn offers an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The moment we arrived, it was clear that this was a place designed for pure relaxation. The peaceful surroundings, combined with the Inn’s historic charm, instantly set the tone for slow living. Here, time seems to stretch, inviting you to unwind, breathe deeply, and simply be.

Historic Charm | Old Town, Aarhus, Denmark

BY CHRISTINA GREVE

I woke up to the most beautiful Summer day and decided to go on an adventure. With the idea of being “tourist in own town” I packed my camera and jumped on my bike. 10 minutes later I parked in front of The Old Town – an open-air town museum located in the Aarhus Botanical Gardens, in central Aarhus, Denmark.

In my time as a photographer I’ve taken many, many pictures in this location. Most often I’ve taken photos after opening hours or out of the tourist season, but today I wanted to experience the town in its full blown summer mood and challenge myself to take photos in strong sunlight.

Unwind in Style: My Stay at Hotel Alter Meierhof, Germany

BY CHRISTINA GREVE

If there’s one thing I truly cherish, it’s traveling one-on-one with one of my kids. Don’t get me wrong, I love our big family, but I’ll be honest—I’m not the biggest fan of family vacations. When all five of us travel together, it feels like we’re navigating five different agendas, each with strong opinions on what to do, when, and where.

What could be a relaxing getaway often turns into a marathon of debates, and I’m left wearing my “mommy hat” the whole time—making sure everyone’s fed, happy, and that nothing falls apart. If you’re a mom, I’m sure you get it. By the time the family trip ends, I often feel like I need another vacation just to recover!
